FAQs
About Tufting
It is my first time making a rug. Can I join a workshop?
Our beginner workshops are designed specifically for beginners. We'll break down the process into easy-to-follow steps, making tufting accessible to all.
Can I select any design for my rug?
Our workshop options let you choose whatever design you prefer, if it fits within our design requirements (see the bottom of this page). However, to make sure your rug turns out amazing, keep it to 5 colours or less. Super tiny details and thin lines can be tricky, so something bolder will look best. Don't worry, we'll review your design after you submit it and offer any suggestions if needed. Check us our on Instagram for some serious inspo!
Having a design in mind but do not have the time to make it yourself?
Don’t worry! We can make it all happen! No matter if you want a rug, bag, or mirror, we'll help you create a unique piece you'll love. The possibilities for custom rugs are endless! Just contact us with your designs or drawings and let's get started.
Do I need to bring anything to the workshop?
Just yourself! Everything you need to tuft is provided! We'll have all the tools and yarn ready for you. Just a friendly reminder to bring a hair tie for safety if you have long hair, and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated while you create!
Can I bring food and drinks?
We have a complimentary water cooler in the workshop, so feel free to bring a reusable water bottle to refill throughout the session. Small snacks are also welcome to keep those creative juices flowing! Making it a celebration? Feel free to bring a limited amount of your preferred beverage but please keep it moderate for everyone's safety :)
General
I’m running late, what should I do?
For the best experience, arriving on time allows you to participate in our group introduction and get the most out of the workshop. We understand things happen! If you're running behind, please let us know by email or phone call as soon as possible, this helps us adjust the schedule accordingly.
Unfortunately, arriving more than 30 minutes late may limit your ability to complete your rug within the workshop timeframe. This is because the workshop is designed to flow smoothly, and catching up might be challenging.
What is the minimum age requirement?
We love welcoming aspiring tufters of all ages! However, to ensure everyone's safety and comfort, we do have a few age guidelines:
- Minimum Age: 7 Years Old Our tufting machines weigh approximately 1.3kg, so for safety reasons, this is the minimum age for participation.
- Ages 7-12: Adult Accompany Required For children between 7 and 12 years old, we kindly ask that they be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop. This allows for close supervision and ensures a fun and safe experience for everyone.
What should I wear?
For a fun and creative experience, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

I’m new to tufting, which workshop is the best option?
While all our workshops are perfect for beginners, we recommend starting with our standard or larger size rug for a smoother learning experience. Here's why:
- Easier to See, Easier to Do: Working on a bigger rug allows you to see all the details more clearly, making it simpler to learn the tufting techniques.
- Confidence Booster: Filling in larger colour blocks can be incredibly satisfying for beginners. It helps build confidence in your skills right from the start!
- Less Room for Uncertainty: A larger canvas provides more space to practice and perfect your tufting. This can alleviate any initial anxieties you might have.
Do you offer any discount for groups?
Absolutely! The bigger the group, the bigger the discount! You’ll automatically see the discount code applied at checkout based on your group size.
Can I make a same-day booking?
To secure your spot at one of our tufting workshops, we kindly ask that you book in advance through our website. Rest assured, our bookings remain open until 1 day before the session, giving you plenty of time to make your reservation.
How many people can work on one rug?
Most workshops are limited to one participant per rug to ensure everyone has a comfortable experience with enough space. Full-day workshops are the exception, allowing two collaborators per rug!
Design Requirement
We provide all the materials and guidance in the workshop. All you have to do is choose a design, send it in beforehand and we’ll sketched it out for you. Designs have to follow these guidelines to be approved for your session.
