Curious about pushing your creativity beyond traditional tufting?

Our Experimental Rug Workshop is designed for makers who love to explore, experiment, and try new techniques. Whether you're interested in combining tufting with other textile crafts, creating 3D textures, incorporating different materials, or experimenting with fine carved details, this workshop gives you the freedom to bring your ideas to life.

There are no strict rules here — this is your chance to play, discover new techniques, and see just how far a rug design can go.

What's Included?

🧶 Access to two different types of yarn:

• Acrylic & cotton blend yarn 

• 100% cotton yarn

✂️ Access to tufting guns and punch needles to help you experiment with texture, depth, and detail

🎨 The freedom to combine tufting with other craft techniques and textiles

🏡 A handmade rug to take home at the end of the workshop (approximately 40x40cm, with the final size adjusted to suit the shape of your design)

✨ You're also welcome to bring your own materials if you'd like to explore a particular idea or technique with us!

Before Your Workshop

Please send your design by replying to your booking confirmation email at least 48 hours before your session, so we can prepare everything ready for your arrival. Need inspiration? Browse our previous creations on Instagram @tadatuftuk and see what our community has been making.
